The divider that knows where to stop.

Most record dividers slide all the way in and disappear between the sleeves, or sit at a different depth every time you put one back.

Our LP Short Stops are A–Z vinyl record dividers designed to fix both. They're made for collections on open shelving and record cabinets.

They bring a bit of record-shop order to a collection at home, and look the part doing it.

  • Positive stop
A shoulder catches the front edge of the shelf, so every divider stops in the same place and the set sits in a dead-straight line.
  • Letters always on show
Whether your sleeves sit flush with the front or further back, the letters stay proud of the records and never get buried.
  • Cut-through lettering
Laser-cut right through the wood, so they read clearly from across the room.
  • Real wood, dead flat
Oak or ash veneer on a stable core, just 4 mm thick, so they slip between sleeves without taking up space.

No fixings, nothing to fit. Slide them in, and move them as your collection grows.

LEFT OR RIGHT?

Because the letters are cut right through, each divider reads correctly from one side only, and the shoulder means it can't be turned round. So we make two versions. Think about where you usually stand when you look along your shelf. If it's from the left-hand end, choose Left. If it's from the right-hand end, choose Right.

CHOOSING A FINISH

Oak is warm and open-grained. Ash is paler and brighter, with a cleaner, more Scandinavian look. Want a splash of colour? LP Short Stops are also coming soon in matt acrylic, in a range of colours.

CARE

Wipe with a dry cloth. Keep away from water, as the edges don't like getting wet.

FAQ

Left or right: which do I need?
Stand where you normally browse. If you look along your records from the left-hand end of the shelf, choose Left. If you look from the right-hand end, choose Right. The guide above shows both.

Will they work on my shelves?
If your shelf has a front edge, yes. They work on open shelving, record cabinets and cube units, and they're compatible with IKEA Kallax.

What if my records sit further back on the shelf?
The divider still slides in to the stop, and the letters still sit out front where you can see them.

Which pack do I need?
As a rough guide: 6 for a few hundred records, 13 once a section gets hard to browse, and 26 for large collections where every letter needs its own place.

What's it made from?
Real oak or ash veneer on a stable core. We use it for our decor because it laser-cuts beautifully, stays dead flat, and won't warp or split the way thin solid timber can.

Made by one pair of hands in Cardiff.
